A New Method for Treating Tumors

Russian scientists have developed a method that helps reduce the number of radiation doses while increasing the impact of ionizing radiation with the same effectiveness compared to traditional radiotherapy for cancer patients who have not benefited from conventional treatment. The Federal Biomedical Agency's website indicates that "the new method, created by specialists at the agency to treat malignant tumors, involves the use of nano-sized iron oxide particles."

The agency's statement reads: "Specialists from the Center for Strategic Planning and Management of Medical and Biological Health Risks at the Federal Biomedical Agency in Russia have created a new method for the combined treatment of malignant tumors using nano-sized iron oxide particles, and they have obtained a patent for their innovation." The statement confirms that the side effects of radiotherapy are expected to decrease when using this method, as well as an increase in the duration and improvement in the quality of life for cancer patients.
