Title: Official: One Dead and Others Injured in Attack on Shrine in Iran

A local official told Iranian television today, Sunday, that "an attack on a Shia shrine in the city of Shiraz, southern Iran, led to at least one death," adding that authorities have arrested one individual. Earlier, Iranian state media reported that at least four people were killed in the attack. The governor of Fars province, Mohammad Hadi Eimani, stated: "It happened around 19:00 local time (15:30 GMT)... an armed terrorist entered the shrine area and began firing... and was arrested." He added: "One person was killed in the attack." At least seven people were injured, including two workers at the shrine and visitors, and shops in the area closed their doors. The state television reported that security forces cordoned off the shrine area.
