Brazilian star Neymar da Silva arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Friday evening to join Al Hilal Saudi Club after an agreement was reached to sign him until 2025.
In a humorous video, the Brazilian player's reaction was captured when Saudi coffee was presented to him upon his arrival in the kingdom. Neymar appeared as though he didn’t drink the coffee and merely sniffed it in a clip shared by Al Hilal on their official X (formerly Twitter) account. Others reacted to him holding the coffee cup in his left hand.
As a result, social media users circulated videos and pictures of Neymar's reaction when the coffee was offered, with funny comments suggesting Neymar might not be fond of Arabic coffee.
Neymar joined Al Hilal from French club Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth over $98 million, according to Transfermarkt. Upon his arrival, Neymar said, "I'm here in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, thank you."
