Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi informed his American counterpart Antony Blinken that "efforts must converge to stop the aggression against Gaza and protect it when achieved." Al-Safadi emphasized during a phone call that "ending the aggression on Gaza is the first step toward de-escalation." The call comes as Israel has been awaiting a response from Iran and Hezbollah to the assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh and the military leader of Hezbollah, Fouad Shukr.
