Prime Minister Najib Miqati received a call from Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, during which they discussed Lebanese-Austrian relations. The conversation also touched on the situation in southern Lebanon and the region, as well as international efforts aimed at stopping Israeli aggressions.
Miqati chaired a ministerial meeting attended by the Ministers of Interior and Municipalities Judge Bassam Mawlawi, Public Health Firas Al-Abiad, Environment Nasser Yassine, Social Affairs Hector Al-Hajjar, Southern Governor Mansour Dou, Nabatieh Governor Houda Al-Turk, Secretary-General of the Supreme Defense Council Major General Muhammad Mustafa, Secretary-General of the National Council for Scientific Research Tamara Zain, Director of Guidance and Orientation at the Ministry of Education Hilda Khoury, and the Prime Minister's advisor Ziad Miqati.
During the meeting, the government’s steps to support residents in the south due to the ongoing Israeli aggression were discussed, along with an evaluation of what has been implemented so far and the suggestion of additional steps to respond to any emergencies that may arise.
Mawlawi met with Prime Minister Miqati in the presence of the Acting Director-General of Personal Status Rodina Marab.
Khoury also welcomed Member of the "Strong Republic" Bloc, MP Elie Khoury, to discuss general conditions and affairs concerning the city of Tripoli.
MP Adib Abd Al-Masih was also received by the Prime Minister, stating that developmental issues concerning the Koura area were addressed.
The Prime Minister met with the President of the Court of Audit, Judge Muhammad Badran.
