Kremlin Objects to Biden's Remarks After Describing Putin as

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that U.S. President Joe Biden's "offensive" remarks about President Vladimir Putin are unacceptable to Moscow. Peskov added during a press briefing on Friday that "despite the fact that all this is an internal matter for the United States and falls under the responsibilities of American voters, it is still absolutely unacceptable behavior for a head of state to speak this way. This is disrespectful language toward other country leaders."

Peskov noted, "This is what we are paying immediate attention to, and it is absolutely unacceptable for us." He further mentioned that the whole world has noticed President Biden's slip-ups, stating, "We have observed that the whole world has taken an interest in this matter. There can be no comments here. It's clear that there are reservations, and it's clear that they may have resonated widely in the context of the political discussions currently taking place," describing this as "an internal matter for the United States."

Biden attempted to insult the Russian leader during a press conference following the NATO summit by saying that "the deepest and oldest fears of Europe have returned to life because a mad killer is crawling." Biden also mistakenly referred to Ukraine's President Zelensky, calling him "President of Ukraine Putin."
