The Ukrainian army announced today, Friday, that the air forces shot down five missiles and 48 out of 53 drones launched by Russia during an attack carried out last night on nine regions. The governor of the Kyiv region reported that Russian forces attacked the area with drones and K.H.-101 and K.H.-555 missiles, resulting in a fire at an industrial facility. Emergency services worked to extinguish the fire this morning without reporting any injuries.
Oleh Synyehubov, the governor of Kharkiv, stated that the drone attack caused the destruction of windows in at least three residential buildings and damaged a store, post office, and other local infrastructure. The governor of Dnipropetrovsk reported that three drones were destroyed over the region. The Kirovohrad governor mentioned that there were no damages in the region following the attack after the army reported shooting down a drone.
The governor of Khmelnytskyi also indicated that there were no damages, stating that air forces shot down 11 targets over the region. The Ukrainian army noted that seven drones were shot down over the southern Odesa region, three others in the Kherson region, and two more in the Mykolaiv region.
Mykola Kolesnyk, the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, stated in remarks on national television that the attack did not cause any damage to energy infrastructure.
