The ministry stated that it focuses on enhancing food safety to protect public health and the reputation of Lebanese products in foreign markets. It clarified that the poultry sector is subject to regulatory decisions related to health registration and the requirements for establishing and operating facilities to ensure safe and contaminant-free products.
Additionally, the ministry noted that it has organized training courses for workers in the poultry sector, covering how to maintain product safety from the farm to the consumer. It praised the poultry farming sector in Lebanon, which has become strategic to the national economy, mentioning that surplus table eggs are exported to many countries after undergoing necessary tests, without any issues or rejections. The ministry reiterated its commitment to continue cooperation and coordination with relevant unions to support this sector.
