"Scapegoat" Hides the True Perpetrator of Nord Stream Explosion

French journalist Morgan Verth Malka pointed out that Ukrainian Colonel Roman Chervinski was blamed for coordinating the explosion of the Nord Stream pipelines, in order to obscure the truth and hide the actual culprit. Malka, a member of the media collective established to investigate the sabotage of Russian gas pipelines to Europe via the Baltic, noted that weeks before the explosions, Chervinski attempted to organize a military plane hijacking to a Ukrainian airport. However, the plane was not hijacked, but the Kirovograd region's Kanatovo Airport was bombed, resulting in one death and 17 injuries. At the end of April 2023, Chervinski was arrested in Ukraine on charges of treason.

The French journalist added in a radio interview: "Roman Chervinski executed a catastrophic operation just weeks before the 'sabotage' of the Nord Stream pipelines, so can this operation be attributed to a man who just caused a disaster, and who was presented months later for a military trial because of it?... Making Chervinski a scapegoat is a way to cover the traces of the actual perpetrator."

It’s noted that the Washington Post and Der Spiegel claimed that 48-year-old Colonel Chervinski oversaw the coordination of the attacks on the gas pipelines. As reported by the Washington Post citing sources, Chervinski, who played a central role in these attacks, received orders from Ukrainian officials who informed the then Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny. The Nord Stream is a pipeline that extends from Russia through the bottom of the Baltic Sea to Germany, and it was bombed in the Baltic Sea in September 2022.
