The Sporting Beirut team, the champion of Lebanon, claimed the title of the first edition of the Asian Basketball Champions League after defeating Shabab Al Ahli from the UAE (122-96) in the final match held at the Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Sports Hall in Dubai. The match ended in favor of the winners with the following scores: (23-21), (34-27), (44-16), and (21-32). The two teams had previously met in the group stage, where Sporting Beirut won 102-88. The Lebanese representative has qualified for the FIBA Intercontinental Cup, which will take place in Singapore from September 12 to 15, featuring six clubs.
