Urgent Warning to Residents of Egypt

Mohamed Ali Fahim, head of the Climate Information Center at the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture, announced that a severe heatwave is beginning across all of Egypt. He pointed out that the cause of the heatwave is the extension of the Indian monsoon low, which will completely dominate the weather over the next 10 days. Fahim added that the country is expected to experience a new wave of high temperatures exceeding 42°C in the north and 45°C in the south, starting from Wednesday, July 17, and lasting for at least the next 10 days. He also confirmed that the low pressure coming from India is a key reason for the rise in temperature during this time of year, as Egypt faces an increase in temperatures and higher humidity levels. He indicated that this low pressure plays a role in attracting tropical monsoon winds to India and Southeast Asia, leading to higher temperatures in Saudi Arabia, the Levant, Iraq, and Egypt.
