The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated on Friday that 9 out of every 10 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced in the Gaza Strip, which has been under continuous Israeli aggression since October 7. UNRWA reported that "displaced families are seeking shelter wherever they can, whether in overcrowded schools, destroyed buildings, modest tents on the sand, or among piles of garbage." They emphasized that "none of those places is safe, and people no longer have anywhere to go." Meanwhile, UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini mentioned that 6 samples of type two poliovirus have been discovered in parts of Gaza, indicating "another serious development in this never-ending journey of misery."
