The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" published a video in which Laporta is asked by a fan about the possibility of signing Nico Williams. Laporta responded to the fan by saying, "We will try."
It is worth noting that Laporta previously stated that Barcelona has the financial resources necessary to sign the Athletic Bilbao star this summer. Nico Williams' contract with Athletic Bilbao includes a release clause of 58 million euros, and the Basque club is refusing to make any concessions to Barcelona.
