Disappearance of Egyptian Player After Canoe Capsize

The Egyptian Canoe Federation announced the disappearance of 17-year-old Mohamed Amr Mustafa, a player from the Electricity Club, during training. The federation received a notification yesterday, Saturday, from the club's deputy executive director, Samah Abdel Aziz, regarding an incident where a canoe capsized, leading to the disappearance of player Mohamed Amr Mustafa during training at the club's location in Zamalek, Cairo, overlooking the Nile River.

The federation stated in a press release that necessary measures have been taken and the relevant authorities have been informed to search for the player after the canoe and paddle were found. The federation emphasized that it regularly issues guidelines to all its affiliated bodies regarding all medical procedures as well as safety and security measures for training and competitions to ensure the safety of players. The federation indicated that it will issue further statements concerning all developments and updates.
