General Michael Kurilla, chief of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) covering operations in the Middle East, arrived in Israel for the second time in less than a week, amid concerns over escalation between Iran and the Israeli state. Kurilla arrived in Israel on Thursday, where he held a joint assessment with Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi regarding "security and strategic situations and joint preparations in response to threats in the Middle East," according to a statement from the Israeli military on Friday. Kurilla had visited the country on Monday.
