First Comment from Sabri After Being Banned from Entering Al-Aqsa Mosque

After the Israeli police's decision to ban the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, from entering the mosque and its courtyards for six months, Sabri viewed the “occupation’s decision to expel me as part of an attempt to dominate, control, and Judaize Al-Aqsa.” The Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque noted that “the occupation does not accept any voice that resonates in support of Al-Aqsa and rejects the incursions of settlers.” Last week, Israeli forces arrested Sheikh Sabri after surrounding his house in the Suwana neighborhood of Jerusalem, following his eulogy for the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniya, during Friday prayers.
