Prosecutors in Germany have revealed that authorities arrested a Lebanese man on Monday, accused of belonging to Hezbollah and purchasing components for drones intended for export to be used in attacks against Israel. Federal prosecutors stated in a press release that the suspect, identified only as "Fadel Z." in accordance with German privacy regulations, was arrested in Salzgitter, northern Germany, on Sunday. He is suspected of being affiliated with a "foreign terrorist organization." Prosecutors mentioned that he joined Hezbollah in Lebanon in the summer of 2016. It is alleged that he "began this year to purchase components from Germany to assemble military drones, particularly engines, on behalf of the organization." They clarified that "these were supposed to be exported to Lebanon and used in attacks on Israel." On Monday, "Fadel Z." appeared before a judge who ordered him to remain in custody pending potential charges.
