Maintenance of Roads Connecting Three Districts

On Saturday, Ali Hamiyeh, the Minister of Public Works and Transport in the caretaker government, confirmed the continuation of work under all conditions the country and region are facing. He conducted a field visit to inspect maintenance work on roads in the south and western Bekaa, starting from the Sarira-Jisr Al-Dalafah road, where he was welcomed by Hatem Harb, the President of the Union of Municipalities of Jabal al-Rihan, along with mayors, mukhtars, and local figures.

Hamiyeh stated from the Sarira-Jisr Al-Dalafah road, which connects the districts of Jezzine, Hasbaya, and western Bekaa, that his presence today is "a practical expression of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport's ongoing commitment to serve the people in all regions, especially in this area facing numerous challenges these days. Despite the limited resources of the ministry, it will remain dedicated to serving the community to reinforce their resilience and confront these challenges."

He remarked, "Regarding the ongoing war against Gaza, it falls within the framework of the genocidal actions against the Palestinian people. Standing with Gaza is not restricted to one nationality but is a stand for humanity." He noted that visiting the southern areas close to the Israeli assaults was a message of support to enhance resilience in those regions. "Those who used to defend the South against Israeli aggressions were few in the past, but they are now many, equipped and prepared to protect it. We feel safe and have no worries with their presence."

Hamiyeh continued his tour, inspecting the maintenance work on the Dalafah roads, including the Qalya-Dalafah-Kokwaba road, while reviewing the ongoing maintenance operations there.
