Environmental activists today sprayed paint on a luxury mansion owned by Argentine star Lionel Messi in Ibiza, Spain, to highlight the "responsibility of the wealthy in the climate crisis." Messi owns a massive villa in Ibiza valued at over 11 million euros, but he currently does not reside there as he lives in the United States following his transfer to Inter Miami.
A video shared by activists from the "Futuro Vegital" group shows two individuals standing in front of the mansion on the western coast of Ibiza holding a sign that reads: "Help the planet. Eat the rich. Abolish the police." The activists sprayed the building's white facade with red and black paint.
