The Federal Commission of Integrity announced today, Thursday, the apprehension of an employee in one of the execution directorates in Anbar caught in the act of bribery in exchange for settling a debt of 2 billion dinars. The commission stated in a release that its personnel in Anbar managed to capture an employee in one of the execution directorates in the province while committing the bribery crime.
It pointed out that "the operation, which was carried out under a judicial warrant, was initiated by the commission's investigation office in Anbar forming a team to investigate information received which involved the involvement of an employee from the follow-up division of the Anbar execution directorate in offering bribes."
The media office added that "the team was able to ensnare the accused after setting a trap, catching an employee from the Ramadi execution directorate - follow-up division in the act of handing over a cash amount of 5,000,000 dinars out of a total of 7,500,000 dinars to the creditor's agent."
It continued that "the amount was paid after the accused pressured the creditor's agent to agree to settle the debt owed by the debtor to the execution directorate, which amounted to 1,950,000,000 billion dinars."
The commission also noted that an official report of the operation was organized and presented along with the accused and the crime evidence to the competent investigating judge, who decided to detain the accused according to the provisions of Article 310 of the Penal Code.
