Raghad Saddam Hussein: I Will Not Abandon My Mission Despite All Attempts to Silence Me

Raghad, the daughter of the late Iraqi president Saddam Hussein, released a video titled "The 21st Anniversary of the Crime of the American-British Occupation of Iraq," commemorating the day U.S. forces entered Baghdad in 2003. In the video, Raghad stated through her accounts on "YouTube" and "X": "Today marks the twenty-first anniversary of the American-British invasion of Iraq, which was accompanied by sowing great discord among the patient people of our nation and their plans to divide Iraq and the Arab region, along with all the destruction their crows brought with them in the name of their feeble democracy."

She added, "The spark of resistance against the occupying enemy ignited from the very first moment of the occupation, and Iraq has offered many of its heroes as martyrs, teaching the enemy harsh lessons in courage, steadfastness, and determination. All their attempts over more than 20 years to obscure the truths and beautify the bitter reality that Iraqis have lived since their grim arrival have failed."

She continued, "This allowed all the greedy, first and foremost Tehran, to interfere in Iraq's affairs, even determining its fate and shaping the history of the Arab region according to their whims. However, the voice of truth continues to scare them; whenever the name of my father, President Saddam Hussein, is mentioned, or his pictures raised, they pounce on anyone who tries to do so."

Addressing the Iraqis, Raghad stated, "Remember that your sister and the daughter of your leader will always stand by the oath, despite all their attempts to silence this voice. I will not abandon my mission in my country as long as I live. Together, we will work to save Iraq, our homeland, and restore it to the ranks it deserves so that we can all advance to a stage befitting Iraq's history."

She added, "Do not forget that your unity and solidarity mean the unity of Iraq. If you see that you have the capacity for forgiveness, then do so, and do not forget that anyone who strayed from the path of truth is an Iraqi deserving of our attempts to bring him back. However, we will not forgive those whose hands are stained with Iraqi blood or who have harmed its dignity in any way."
