A Spanish media report has revealed the date of Dani Olmo's first appearance as Barcelona's new signing. Barcelona has finalized an agreement with Leipzig to acquire Dani Olmo during the current summer transfer window. The player, along with his agent and family, arrived in the Catalan capital yesterday evening.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," Dani Olmo will make his debut next Monday in the Joan Gamper Trophy match against French side Monaco. Olmo will have his first training session with Barcelona this coming Saturday, after the rest of the team returns to Spain following their summer break and preseason preparations.
Just four days after the Joan Gamper match, Barcelona will kick off their La Liga campaign with a visit to Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium on Saturday, August 17. Reports indicate that Barcelona and Leipzig agreed on a deal worth €55 million in fixed fees, in addition to €7 million in variable amounts. Olmo has signed a six-year contract with Barcelona.
