Mayada Al-Hanawi Reveals the Voices Closest to Her Heart

Syrian artist Mayada Al-Hanawi confirmed that the talent of the esteemed singer Sabah Fakhri in presenting the Halabi Qudud "cannot be compensated." However, she also highlighted the talents of Muhammad Khairi and Safwan Al-Abed, stating they are the closest to her heart. Mayada pointed out the role of the late musician Baligh Hamdi in completely changing the course of her life.

In her conversation with Emirati artist Ahlam during her program "Ahlam: A Thousand and One Nights," Mayada said, "Baligh Hamdi changed the entire course of my life. He saw me, but he didn't know I was a singer. When he heard my voice on a cassette tape, he came to Syria and stayed for six years after he heard me. He discovered my vocal potential."

Ahlam asked her guests, the generational singer #Mayada_Al_Hanawi and artist #Mirna_Mlouhi, about the person who changed their lives in the art field. How did each respond?

Mayada Al-Hanawi added, "Also, the musician Muhammad Al-Mouji gave me the most difficult songs, and we had intensive rehearsals. We worked on 'Habina Watuhabina,' and after a year, he told me that he would let me listen to 'Habina Watuhabina,' with lyrics by Abdel Rahim Mansour. He came to Damascus, and when I heard the song, I liked it and recorded it. I sang for Al-Sunbati 'An Hour' and 'Ashwaq.'” Mayada presented a bouquet of her most famous songs, such as "Habina Watuhabina," "Kan Ya Makan," and "Ni'mat Al-Nisyan," in addition to the song "Ana Ba'ashaqak," which she performed with Ahlam on stage.
