Egyptian Sarah Samir (26 years old) won the silver medal in the women's weightlifting category of 81 kilograms at the Paris Olympics on Saturday. Norwegian athlete Kwanda Sulfreid captured the gold medal with a new Olympic record after lifting 275 kilograms, while the bronze medal went to Nisi Dakoumies from Ecuador. Sarah Samir succeeded in lifting a total of 268 kilograms. This is her second Olympic medal, as she previously won a bronze in the 69 kg category at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016. This is Egypt's second medal at the Paris Olympics, following Mohamed El-Sayed's bronze in fencing, which was awarded in the first week of the games.
