Fadi Karam, a member of the "Strong Lebanon" bloc, considered that "linking the presidency issue to specific dates is unrealistic and falls into the realm of illusion," noting that "ending the presidential vacancy is only tied to the Speaker of the House calling for an open session to elect a president." He stated that "envoys should identify those obstructing the holding of such a session." Karam emphasized in an interview with "Voice of Lebanon" that "dialogue is open among all parties, whether direct or indirect," clarifying that "the Forces proposed holding consultation sessions that do not take the form of a convention and are not chaired by the Speaker of the House so as not to transform them into an official session." He pointed out that "Speaker Berri's refusal to hold any consultation session without chairing it indicates that there is no intention by the Speaker to facilitate the holding of an electoral session through successive rounds, which would ease the presidential election process, but rather aims to undermine the constitution with new conventions."
