Relative Calm After a Turbulent Night in the South

Relative security calm prevails on the southern front this morning. The Lebanese army and the Red Cross evacuated one deceased and four injured individuals to the Marjayoun governmental hospital. Additionally, Israeli warplanes executed three airstrikes at ten-minute intervals, targeting empty locations: the Tannous Hill area north of Kfarkela, the surroundings of Jabal al-Bat south of Aitaroun, and the Sarda area east of the Wazzani. Israeli aircraft also conducted an airstrike south of the town of Aitaroun, between "the Forest" and "Jabal al-Aride." An Israeli missile targeted the "Hirsh" area near Tannous Hill north of Kfarkela.

The "Al-Manar" network reported that Israeli forces dropped ten flares over the Israeli sea site in Ras al-Naqoura and four flares over the "Jal al-Aalam" site in al-Labuna south of Naqoura. The Israeli army stated that it targeted a cell that was preparing to launch missiles from the Shebaa Farms area on the Lebanese border last night. In this context, “Hezbollah” announced today the death of two of its members in southern Lebanon, raising the number of its fatalities since the current escalation with Israel to 32. The party stated in two separate statements that both Ali Adnan Artail and Ibrahim Muhammad Qashmir (Haydar) were killed "while performing their jihadist duty," according to the Arabic News Agency.

Hezbollah mentioned that Artail is from the town of Mivdoun in southern Lebanon, while Qashmir hails from the town of Deirkifa, also in southern Lebanon. An Israeli army spokesperson stated yesterday that the army targeted a military compound and a monitoring point belonging to "Hezbollah." The spokesperson, Daniel Haggari, noted on the "X" platform that the bombardment was "in response to gunfire from Lebanon." However, the spokesperson did not specify the exact location of the bombardment.
