The warplanes also carried out a series of airstrikes targeting the coastal plain of Qlayla and a building in the town of Kawtheriyat al-Siyad, with no reported casualties.
According to the National News Agency, Israeli warplanes struck the outskirts of the town of Ain Baal in the Tyre District. Heavy flights of warplanes and reconnaissance aircraft were recorded over villages in the western and central sectors. New incendiary phosphorus shelling targeted the city of Al-Khiam for the second time today. Additionally, towns such as Rab3 Thalathin, the outskirts of Yaroun, and Al-Duhayra, as well as the outskirts of Tayr Harfa, came under fire. An Israeli drone also attacked the town of Marwahin, concurrent with the flight of warplanes, and a second strike targeted the town of Yaroun near the town mosque.
For its part, the "Islamic Resistance" announced that it "targeted this evening, a gathering of enemy soldiers around the Al-Manarah site with appropriate weapons, and they hit it directly," and also targeted "a gathering of enemy soldiers around the Jal al-Alam site with appropriate weapons, inflicting casualties among dead and injured." The "Islamic Resistance" further stated that its fighters targeted the Bayad Bledd site with rocket fire at 3:40 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2024, resulting in direct hits.
