The horse "Ezenti Risky," owned by Sheila Collington and trained by Philip Collington, with John Fahy as the rider, won the title of the Al Wathba Cup "Stallions" for purebred Arab horses, which took place yesterday (Saturday) over a distance of 1500 meters at the Chester racecourse in London, UK. This event was held under the patronage of the 16th edition of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival.
The race featured 7 purebred Arab horses aged 3 years and older, and the 9-year-old horse "Ezenti Risky" won with a time of 1:48:52, finishing 4 lengths ahead of the filly "Victoria," owned and trained by James Owen and ridden by Shane Dillon Boyne. The third place was secured by the filly "Deliketsi," ridden by jockey Tegan Badgley.
Lara Sawaya, the Executive Director of the Global Festival, awarded the winners of the race and praised its success and role in enhancing the achievements of Arab horse racing, especially since it is considered one of the biggest races of the season, along with a considerable turnout of approximately 14,000 spectators.
Jenny Hines, the Commercial and Financial Director of the Arabian Racing Organization in the UK, expressed her appreciation for the ongoing support of the global festival, which is one of the largest competitions in the Al Wathba Cup series in the UK this year.
