Lieutenant General Ismail Al-Qirqawi, President of the UAE and Arab Basketball Federations, emphasized the necessity of exerting utmost efforts and utilizing available resources to organize a more distinguished edition of the 33rd Dubai International Basketball Championship, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Head of the Dubai Sports Council. The competition will take place at the Rashid bin Hamdan Hall at Al Nasr Club from January 19 to 28, 2024.
Lieutenant General Al-Qirqawi chaired a meeting at the federation's headquarters with the organizing committee to discuss the latest updates regarding the arrangement. The list of teams that confirmed their participation in the championship was reviewed. This indicates strong competition among the teams, which is expected to be more intense than in the previous tournament for the title.
The hotel name, which will host the participating delegations, was also approved, ensuring high-quality services and providing all means and requirements for a distinguished and comfortable stay for all teams. Transportation matters for moving teams from the airport to their accommodations, as well as daily transfers to training and competition venues, were examined.
Lieutenant General Ismail Al-Qirqawi listened to details regarding ticket sales, which will be available online. The announcement will be made on the electronic link a few days before the championship kicks off, with ticket prices being affordable for everyone.
