Seventeen people were killed and thirty-four others were injured on Tuesday in a bus rollover in Afghanistan, according to a report from the Ministry of Information and Culture in Baghlan province. Mustafa Hashimi stated, "Seventeen people died and thirty-four others were injured when their bus overturned in the Khwaja Ghar area of Baghlan." He noted that the vehicle was heading from Kabul to the northern province of Faryab. The dead include 12 men, two women, and three children. Fatalities often occur on Afghanistan's roads, which suffer from inadequate maintenance due to the aftermath of conflict in the country and a lack of adherence to traffic laws. In March, 21 people were killed, and 38 others were injured in a collision involving a bus, a motorcycle, and a tanker truck in southern Afghanistan.
