On Saturday, French police arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with an online threat to Israeli President Isaac Herzog. The French newspaper "Le Parisien" reported that the anti-terrorism squad of the judicial police in Val-de-Marne arrested the boy in Grenoble. The arrest followed the teenager's post on his account on the platform "X," in which he called for an attack on the President of Israel. The accused admitted to threatening Herzog, who was in Paris for the opening of the Olympics on Friday. A source close to the investigation stated, "It is an illusion to think that if we hide behind a pseudonym, we cannot be found." Israeli athletes participating in the Paris Olympics are under continuous protection by French police 24 hours a day. French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said, "We made this decision because Israeli athletes are particularly targeted by attacks."
