Return: Leaders Must Gather Around the Idea of the State

Metropolitan Elias Audi of Beirut and its dependencies for the Greek Orthodox Church led a mass at Saint George's Cathedral in Beirut. After the Gospel, he said in his sermon: "Our country will not escape its tribulations by the strength of its leaders but by the will of God who works through them if they allow him to. Therefore, these leaders, if they truly love their country and are faithful to their people, should rely on God and embrace love, humility, honesty, loyalty, and respect for others. They must gather around the idea of the state and work to build it with the welfare and salvation of Lebanon in mind. May the Lord, who is capable of all things, guide them and grant them the desires of their hearts. Let us trust in the Lord in everything, for He arranges the best for us."
