The Jordanian Football Association announced on its official website that it has amicably terminated the contract of the national team's head coach, Hussein Amouta. The statement revealed that the decision to part ways with Amouta, who is 54 years old, was based on his request due to personal circumstances.
The Jordanian football federation expressed its pride and deep appreciation for the time Amouta led the national team, acknowledging the significant efforts and contributions made by him and his coaching staff to Jordanian football. The federation emphasized that the achievements accomplished under Amouta’s leadership of the "Nashama" will always be recognized with gratitude by the Jordanian football family and fans.
Hussein Amouta took over coaching the "Nashama" in June 2023, leading them to their first-ever final in the last Asian Cup. The Jordanian federation also announced the appointment of his successor, Jamal Salami, as the head coach, who will be joined by assistants Omar Najhi and Mustafa Al-Khalfi, goalkeeper coach Ahmed Muhmdina, fitness coaches Jawad Sabri and Karim Maloush, as well as performance analysts Karim Idrissi and Marwan Lotfi.
