Jordanian King Abdullah pointed out today, Monday, that "Israel has created a whole generation of orphans due to the war in Gaza," adding that "around 30,000, most of whom are women and children, have been killed or gone missing as a result of the conflict." In statements made in Rwanda, King Abdullah said: "The lesson to be learned is that Israel's 'indiscriminate aggression' in Gaza will never guarantee its security." He continued: "The number of child victims in Gaza has surpassed the child victims in all conflicts and wars that the world has witnessed over the past year combined. Many surviving children have lost one or both parents. We are facing a whole generation of orphans." Abdullah questioned the war that Israel is waging against Hamas, asking, "How can indiscriminate aggression and bombing achieve peace? How can they guarantee security while inflaming hatred?" His remarks were published in the official media following a statement from the royal palace.
