The streets of Egypt buzzed over the past few days with the case of the "Serial Killer of the Gathering," known as Karim Muslim, who was apprehended by security forces following the discovery of multiple bodies in desert areas of the provinces of Port Said and Ismailia. The Port Said Criminal Court also issued a decision to seize his assets and possessions along with his son Zain.
## The Killer's Ex-Wife Comes Forward
Lina, the former wife of the accused, spoke out on social media, accusing his mother of assisting him in his actions. She wrote, “Your son is a serial killer, and I am the only one who managed to escape from him,” questioning about her son: “Where is my son that you kidnapped from me?”
Information obtained by "Al-Arabiya" revealed details about the ex-wife and the accused Karim. He worked as a tattoo artist in Hurghada, where he met his wife, who holds both Egyptian and Irish citizenship. He later moved to Port Said to work at a private school teaching English, having lived with his father in Florida, USA, where he became fluent in English.
## He Blackmailed His Wife
Due to his drug use, his relationship with his wife deteriorated significantly. He would film her during intimate moments. When the conflicts escalated, he physically assaulted her multiple times. As a result, she decided to escape to Ireland because he blackmailed her by filing a adultery lawsuit while exploiting her private photos and accused her of cheating on him with another person.
## He Convinced His Son of His Mother's Death
After his wife left him, the accused convinced his son Zain, who is 10 years old, that his mother had died. The accused’s work relationship started to decline, as the school he worked for decided not to renew his contract. He applied for another job, but was rejected, leading him to attempt to create educational content on social media platforms.
