Media reports have revealed that Sira Martínez, the daughter of coach Luis Enrique, could disrupt the relationships of players within Spain's national team camp after entering into a relationship with defender Rubén Loftus-Cheek following her split from her previous partner, forward Ferran Torres. The Spanish outlet "Vanitatis El Confidencial" reported that Sira Martínez follows the matches of the national team in the European Championship, with two significant figures in her life: her ex-boyfriend Ferran Torres and her current partner Rubén Loftus-Cheek.
The online newspaper confirmed that the 24-year-old is dating the current Spanish defender of French descent, who plays for Real Sociedad. Sira Martínez gained attention during the 2022 World Cup while in a relationship with Ferran Torres, when her father, Luis Enrique, was coaching the Spanish national team, as well as Torres. Enrique was often questioned about their relationship during camp, even joking with media reporters in the Qatar World Cup, saying that his daughter, Sira Martínez, might "cut off his head" if he didn't include Ferran Torres in the starting lineup.
At the time, the Barcelona forward indicated that he felt very comfortable having his girlfriend's father as his coach, stating: "Enrique and I know how to handle things when we're family and when we're a coach and player; we do an excellent job." Fast forward two years from those statements, and Rubén Loftus-Cheek is now both a teammate of Torres and the current partner of his ex, sharing a locker room at the continental tournament.
