Borrell Condemns "Bloodbath" in the Golan... Calls for "International Investigation"

Borrell Condemns

The EU's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, condemned the missile attack targeting the town of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights, which Israel has annexed, describing it as a "bloodbath." Borrell stated on the platform X: "Shocking images from the football field in the Druze town of Majdal Shams. I strongly condemn this bloodbath." He added, "We need an independent international investigation into this unacceptable incident." He concluded his post by urging all parties to exercise utmost restraint and avoid further escalation.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Hezbollah on Saturday that it would pay a heavy price for its missile attack on Majdal Shams. According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister, Netanyahu informed the leader of the Druze community in Israel in a phone call that "Hezbollah will pay a heavy price, a price it has not paid yet." On Sunday, the spokesperson for the Israeli army to the Arab media, Avichai Adraee, revealed the type of missile that hit the field in Majdal Shams, resulting in 12 fatalities.
