The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Guidance announced that "as part of the security measures undertaken by the military institution, units of the army, supported by patrols from the Intelligence Directorate, arrested 11 individuals as follows:
- Arrest of citizens (A.D.) and (M.D.) in the town of Deir Ammar - North for attempting to smuggle 28 Syrians into Lebanese territory.
- Arrest of citizen (A.M.) in the town of Bzal - North as he is wanted for theft and suspected of firing gunshots and throwing two hand grenades during a family dispute.
- Arrest of citizen (W.H.) in the town of Arsal - Bekaa as he is wanted for shooting.
- Arrest of 6 Syrians in the regions of Labwe, Balaa, and Jbail - Bekaa for possessing military weapons and entering Lebanese territory illegally.
- Arrest of Palestinian (Sh.Z.) at the entrance of Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp - Sidon as he is wanted for shooting.
Investigations with the detainees have begun under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
