American billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, founder of "Meta," the parent company of social media giants "Facebook," "Instagram," and "WhatsApp," is currently working on building a fortified stronghold as a secret bunker for himself and his family in Hawaii, to protect them in case World War III breaks out. According to reports from U.S. media outlets like the "New York Post" and "Wired" (which also published some photos from inside the fortified home), the stronghold will be situated in the middle of the ocean, with the nearest significant landmass located 4,000 kilometers away, ensuring that the fortified house is not affected by any nuclear explosions.
Even the main gate of the fortified estate, called "Koloau Farm," will be explosion-proof in the event of a major world conflict, as per "Al Arabiya." The "New York Post" reported that the fortified complex consists of more than 10 buildings, with two central palaces connected by a tunnel leading to a 5,000 square foot underground shelter, complete with an escape hatch accessible via a ladder, according to the building plans.
The bunker will feature at least 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms, and will also include guesthouse points and a series of 11 "disk-shaped" treehouses linked by rope bridges, based on the plans reviewed by the outlet. The fortified farm will be equipped to be self-sufficient in water and will contain livestock and spaces for planting crops to produce food.
It is likely that the bunker will be able to sustain its occupants for decades with food and drink, allowing them to live as long as possible. Once the war ends or the danger subsides, they can emerge and start a new life on the surface. Billionaire Zuckerberg has spent $170 million acquiring the land to build his fortified estate, which he considers a family home for himself, his wife, and their children.
