Good News and a Worrisome Update for Real Madrid

Player Dani Carvajal missed Real Madrid's training today, Friday, due to suffering from muscle issues that forced him to be substituted during the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City. Carvajal's absence comes ahead of Real Madrid's crucial clash against Barcelona in the La Liga Clasico at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday. This follows a rest day on Thursday after a difficult qualification to the semi-finals of the Champions League via penalties against City.

Carvajal has been undergoing recovery training and physiotherapy sessions at the Valdebebas sports complex to address the muscle problems that prevented him from completing the match against City. The medical report indicates that Dani Carvajal is not suffering from a muscle injury, and Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti hopes to rely on the player’s contributions against Barcelona.

At the same time, Brazilian player Vinícius Júnior trained normally with his teammates. Vinícius had left the match against Manchester City due to muscle pain, but medical tests confirmed he does not have a muscle injury. Alongside Carvajal, Thibaut Courtois and David Alaba also missed training as each continues their rehabilitation programs, while the remaining available players trained under Carlo Ancelotti.

The team began their session with warm-up exercises on the grass, followed by tactical drills and possession training, and finished with small-sided matches.
