Israeli police opened an investigation this morning into the death circumstances of a 43-year-old resident of the town of Maghar. The police stated that their elements are investigating several locations related to the incident, which seems to be linked to a conflict among criminals. The investigation has commenced, and no suspects have been arrested yet. The victim, Rabi Araidi, whose body parts were found in Bismat Tab'un in northern Israel, was discovered with his head located near a school building in Bismat Tab'un, while the remaining parts of his dismembered body were found in Maghar. His father was Na'im Araidi, Israel's former ambassador to Norway and Iceland, who worked for 11 years as an Arabic presenter at "Keshet" news and passed away in 2015.
According to suspicions, before the victim's head was placed near the school, the perpetrators cleaned it with cleaning materials to hide evidence. It is reported that a teacher at the school passed by the location and thought the head was an object, not realizing it was a human head.
Information suggests that Araidi was kidnapped from his home and killed. The police also suspect that the background of the murder is a conflict between criminal organizations that has resulted in 15 deaths over the past two years. In only two cases have police been able to reach the perpetrators, while the rest of the cases remain open without any progress in the investigation.
Immediately after Araidi's murder, a message attributed to "criminal organizations" was disseminated, stating: "We warned you against severing ties with the criminal organization. We killed him after he began spreading matters of threats and betrayal."
