The research unit of the National Gendarmerie in the Ain Defla province, northern Algeria, successfully recovered valuable cultural properties consisting of two collections of silver coins dating back to the Almohad dynasty. The Ministry of Culture stated in a statement that this was achieved through a precise and meticulous security operation that resulted in the seizure and recovery of 182 coins. The Algerian Ministry of Culture emphasized that the recovery of these cultural properties reflects the commitment of the culture and arts sector to collaborate closely with all security agencies to protect national heritage and combat the infringement of cultural properties. The Ministry of Culture and Arts noted that it will continue its efforts to ensure specialized quality training for members of security apparatuses.
