A 45-year-old man in Indonesia has killed his neighbor for a reason that seems unbelievable. The man admitted to killing his neighbor after becoming irritated by his persistent questioning about why he was not married. Police Commissioner Maria Marbaung revealed that the victim, a retired civil servant named Asjim Erinto, was attacked by the assailant, Barlin Donjan Sijerigar, who arrived at their home around 8 PM on July 29, carrying a piece of wood and began attacking him without warning. As Asjim ran into the street, Barlin Donjan pursued him and struck him a fatal blow to the head, continuing to strike him even after he had fallen to the ground. Asjim was rushed to the hospital but died before arrival. The killer was arrested an hour after the attack, according to local media. Reports indicate that Barlin Donjan confessed during police interrogation that he was determined to beat Asjim to death due to being hurt by his neighbor's incessant inquiries about his marital status and mockery of him.
