Following Hamas's comment on the announcement of an agreement between 14 Palestinian factions to form a temporary national reconciliation government to manage Gaza after the war, Fatah responded. Osama Qawasmi, a spokesperson for Fatah, stated that Hamas has matured in its thinking regarding Palestinian unity. He announced that the factions had agreed to form a government that includes the West Bank and Gaza Strip. He emphasized that there is cautious optimism following the signing of the agreement in China, stressing that current circumstances are focused on pressing to stop the war in the besieged enclave. He also noted that the conditions will contribute to the formation of a reconciliation government, insisting that what is happening in the Palestinian territories has facilitated the maturity of the agreement with Hamas. This came after Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzouk announced that the movement signed a "national unity" agreement with Fatah and other Palestinian factions during a meeting in China. Abu Marzouk stated that the movement signed the national unity agreement today, considering that the way to continue the journey is through national unity. He added, "We adhere to national unity and call for it." It is noted that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized on Tuesday, during the signing of the "Beijing Declaration" by the factions in the Chinese capital, that the most important point made was the agreement to form a temporary national reconciliation government to manage Gaza after the war.
