The spokesperson for the Cypriot government, Konstantinos Letymbiotis, confirmed that his country does not participate in military operations and is not involved in any conflict in the Middle East. In response to opposition accusations regarding the presence of foreign military forces and weapons on the island, Letymbiotis pointed out that "the Cypriot authorities only provide humanitarian assistance." He also stated that "the entire international community recognizes the humanitarian role of our country and welcomes it." Letymbiotis affirmed that Cyprus remains "part of the solution, not part of the problem, which is acknowledged by the international community."
