Britain and France Condemn Attacks in the West Bank

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy strongly condemned "the attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinians in the West Bank" today, Friday. In a joint press conference with his French counterpart Stéphane Séjourné in Israel, Lammy said, "The scenes from last night, of burning and setting buildings on fire, throwing Molotov cocktails at cars, widespread rioting, and chasing people, forcing them to flee their homes, are abhorrent; I condemn this in the strongest terms." For his part, Séjourné denounced an attack "carried out by Israeli settlers on a Palestinian village in the West Bank."
