Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant issued a warning to Tehran and Hezbollah, stating, "Israel has significant capabilities," emphasizing that "Iran and Hezbollah must reconsider their calculations." In remarks from the Tel Hashomer military base, he added that "Iran and Hezbollah should expect us to respond as we have not in the past," according to his office. This comes as Iran's acting Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, announced earlier on Sunday that the response to the assassination of Haniyeh would be justifiable and decisive. He stated during a phone call with Belgium's Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib that "Iran, in line with its defense of its national security, territorial integrity, and national sovereignty, and based on international law and international procedures as well as the United Nations Charter, will make Israel pay a heavy price, in a justifiable and decisive manner."
