The police noted that a fight broke out between two groups in Old Settlers Park around 11 PM, coinciding with an individual firing a barrage of bullets at those present, resulting in the death of two people and serious injuries to six others. Investigations revealed that the deceased were not part of the altercation, and the number of shooters present remains unknown. According to state emergency services, at least six people were transported to hospitals with "serious" injuries. Emergency services clarified that four adults and two children were taken to local trauma facilities in Austin-Travis County.
