The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced in a statement that "as a result of the daily follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue drug trafficking and promotion networks in various Lebanese regions and to arrest their members, the Information Branch obtained information regarding a network storing, packaging, distributing, and promoting drugs in several areas of Mount Lebanon Governorate. Consequently, the specialized units of the branch initiated their field and inquiry procedures, and through extensive investigations and inquiries, they were able to identify the members of this network, who are: H. H. (born in 1999, Syrian) distributor, Sh. Sh. (born in 1999, Syrian) promoter, and W. A. (born in 2005, Syrian) promoter.
On 13-12-2023, after careful surveillance and observation, the branch's patrols raided the location of the first suspect inside a hotel in the airport road area and arrested him. They seized his black Chevrolet vehicle. Simultaneously, another patrol managed to arrest the second and third suspects red-handed in the Chowayfat area while they were promoting drugs in the area in a gray Hyundai Grand i10 vehicle with falsified plates, which was also seized.
Upon searching them and the first suspect's home located in Sahara Chowayfat, as well as the two vehicles, the following items were seized:
- 43 envelopes labeled (noss buzz) containing cocaine.
- 33 envelopes labeled (gram net extra 1- gram net 1- gram net extra 1.5) containing cocaine.
- 7 envelopes containing marijuana and hashish.
- 4 envelopes containing blank paper labeled (1.5gram buzz extra).
- One envelope labeled ½ (gram net extra).
- 64 counterfeit $100 bills labeled copy money.
- 4 mobile phones and cash.
As a result of the follow-up, another house owned by the first suspect in Kfarshima was identified, which was used to store quantities of drugs prepared for promotion. It was raided on 16-12-2023 by a patrol from the branch, seizing the following items:
- 19 envelopes containing hashish with a total weight of about 270 grams.
- 20 envelopes containing a green plant material with a total weight of about 560 grams.
- 6 envelopes containing pills weighing about 79 grams, and 24 nylon envelopes each containing a plastic container with a white material, weighing approximately 4.7 grams each.
- 384 nylon envelopes labeled with various names in both foreign and Arabic languages (gram net, nos buz, gram net, gram net extra, king, buz net, nafish, ajnabi, gram) with a total weight of approximately 11.204 kilograms.
- 20 Omiz drug pills, 3 empty plastic containers.
- A quantity of nylon envelopes of different sizes used for packing drugs, 3 bags, rolling paper, and a quantity of paper printed with words for naming drugs, and a notebook and papers for taking notes.
During the investigation, they confessed to the charges against them regarding the storage, packaging, distribution, and promotion of drugs to a large number of customers. The legal measures were taken against them, and they were detained along with the seized items and vehicles based on the judicial authority's instructions.
