Al-Safadi in Tehran to De-escalate Regional Tensions

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi, during his visit to the Iranian capital Tehran on Sunday, emphasized that "the first step to prevent escalation in the region is to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza." He stated, "My visit to Tehran aims to overcome the differences between the two countries with honesty and transparency to serve our mutual interests," stressing that "I am not here with a message for Israel, nor am I here to carry a message to it." He considered that "the assassination of Haniyeh is a heinous crime and an escalatory step that constitutes a violation of international law and an assault on the sovereignty of nations." Amid escalating tensions between the Islamic Republic and Israel, the Jordanian Foreign Minister arrived in Tehran today, where he met with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Baqeri, alongside Jordanian calls for "calming" regional tensions.
